Talking about your history special topic or your music practical in the Spanish Leaving Cert Oral

As a Leaving Cert student, you’ve got a lot to deal with apart from the oral examinations…be prepared in case your examiner decides to ask you about one of these special projects.

The history special project is like a long essay that you prepare beforehand. Each student has to choose a topic in which to specialise. It’s better to choose something that you’re interested in for some reason so you don’t mind spending as much time preparing it. The project will be worth 20% of the final result so I’ve done a lot of work on it, but it’s pretty hard for me to explain in Spanish…[but you should still try to explain it in this space!]

This week is pretty tough for me because not only do I have this exam but I also have my music exam. I have to sing and play the piano/guitar/flute. It’s very stressful having to perform a song in front of an examiner. I’ve chosen a piece of music/a song by Bach/by Coldplay because I love classical music/the music of this group.
